Founder of COMAAT
Jennifer Walsh is the adviser for the Northern Alameda and the San Francisco People First chapters, and a representative on Area Board 5, among other boards. Having completed her thesis, Establishing Relationships Between People With and Without Disabilities for her MA in Administration and Park Management from Chico state, Jennifer established COMAAT in 2010.
Her parents had the same expectations for Jennifer as they did for her siblings. Rather than sitting around and hoping society would work it out one day and look at the whole individual, she decided to use her disadvantage as an advantage by educating others, which is why she founded and became the CEO of COMAAT.
Jennifer earned a BA in Recreation and Leisure Studies with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation from San Francisco State University. She is a National Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist.
